Access and permissions
Read vs write access and what each level can do.
Access to Spaces is controlled per Space through read and write access.
Write access
Users with write access can:
- Upload and manage Knowledge
- Create and manage My Spaces
- Start chats and use all chat features
Read access
Users with read-only access can:
- Browse Knowledge (view sources, see processing status)
- Start chats and read grounded answers
Users with read-only access cannot:
- Upload, edit, or delete sources
- Create or delete My Spaces
Session refresh
If your access changes or your session is out of date, you may be asked to log out and sign back in to continue. This ensures what you can do matches your current role.
If you see an empty Knowledge state with a view-only message, you have read access but no write access for that Space.
