What stays scoped to each Space

Spaces uses two levels: your org Space (the environment you pick at sign-in) and My Spaces (private sub-Spaces inside it). Knowing what is shared and what is scoped helps you organize work without surprises.

Scoped to each My Space

• Sources you upload directly to that My Space
• Conversations started inside that My Space
• Chat in that My Space — answers retrieve from that Space's Knowledge

Shared across the org Space

• Knowledge at the org level — sources any My Space can associate
• Controls — platform guardrails and Space rules that shape how this Space answers across the org Space. There is no separate Controls page per My Space.
• System configuration — models, storage, and how sources are processed (visible in System)
• History at the org level for conversations not tied to a specific My Space workflow

Practical rule

If you need isolated documents and chats for a project, use a dedicated My Space. If you need a source available in multiple My Spaces, add it to org-level Knowledge and associate it where needed.
